Public discussion of legal proceedings often veers far from accuracy or rationality. Through these commentaries, I will seek to use my legal and academic experience to promote the understanding and analysis crucial to effective discourse in democracy.
During a 45 year career, I practiced law as both a DOJ prosecutor and criminal defense counsel, taught at the Northwestern University School of Law, currently teach at Elmhurst University and have authored more than 100 published articles.
