From 1985 to 2017 I served as Rabbi of Temple Emanuel in Davenport. A social justice activist, I founded or co-founded such organizations as In From the Cold, The David Lane Coats for Kids, and One Human Family QCA.
I was ordained a Reform Rabbi in 1975 & have served congregations in NY, NE, CA, & IA. I was an adjunct professor at St. Ambrose University, teaching courses in Judaism and the Holocaust. I am an active social justice activist and writer.
