Photographer. Author. Professor. Wanderer of the Nevada deserts. Irritant of the arrogant. Owner of a tee shirt that says, "Will Write For Food." Aside from that, a moderately gentle soul. (My mom said so.)
I'm a retired professor of journalism, thinking about three questions: How does the world work? Why does it work that way? What are the consequences of the answers to the first two questions?
Through both imagery and writing, my goal is to resist the indifference and disconnection that isolates us from each other, and from the awe-inspiring universe we're one with. Along the way, I hope to kindle a sense of "radical amazement."
